  The Vision

Wherever there is a need, Elizabeth Seton's daughters may be found.

Baltimore, Emmitsburg, Philadelphia and New York were but the first among cities to be served by Elizabeth Seton's Sisters of Charity. Foundations were to be made in Convent Station, New Jersey; Cincinnati, Ohio; Greenburg, Pennsylvania; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Today, Sisters of Charity may be found throughout the United States and Canada and in mission countries around the world. They have schools and colleges; they serve in hospitals, nursing homes and orphanages. Responding to contemporary needs, they also care for AIDS patients, provide shelters for the homeless, homes for abused women and children, and programs for those afflicted with substance abuse.
