1768 William Magee Seton, the man destined to be the love
of Elizabeth Bayley's life, was born. William was schooled
in England and completed his education on the Continent. In
Leghorn, Italy, he became close friends with the Filicchis,

in love with him. Their courtship was filled with the pleasures
of the day the theatre, dancing and music. Married
